Omaha, Neb. (March 5, 2024) – Over 150 employees from CQuence Health and its holdings, Cassling, Phase Medical and Kada Health, recently came together to give back in support of local non-profit organizations. Team members assembled laundry kits, stuffed backpacks, decorated pantry bags and more to demonstrate their commitment to the health and wellbeing of their communities.
“CQuence and its holdings all share a vision to improve healthcare access and outcomes. Equally as important, we share a culture,” said Mike Cassling, Executive Chairman and founder of CQuence. “Our culture is rooted in service, whether that’s service to each other, our customers or our communities. Events like this show our employees’ passion for making a direct, positive impact on the world.”
Over 1,000 items were assembled and distributed to five organizations in the Omaha area:
Humble and Kind
A roadblock for many at-risk individuals to maintain their jobs and prevent homelessness is access to clean clothing and uniforms. To address this need, employees packaged laundry kits to donate to Humble and Kind in Bellevue, Nebraska. Humble and Kind is dedicated to providing vital support to families in the Omaha community during times of extreme circumstances.
Intercultural Senior Center
Employees decorated pantry bags for the Intercultural Senior Center, whose mission is to improve the dignity, quality of life and physical well-being of seniors from around the world.. The center delivers pantries to seniors each month, and the hope is that the decorations on these bags bring a smile to those who see them.
Access Period
Employees helped package 100 three-month kits for Access Period, whose mission is to end period poverty in Nebraska by providing free menstrual products for those who need them. The kits will be distributed in Omaha and across the state of Nebraska so everyone can accomplish their goals without being held back by a lack of access to period products.
CASA for Douglas County
When children are removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect, they often leave with only the clothes on their backs and whatever personal items can be hastily gathered into a trash bag. CASA’s Project Hope aims to make the transition as easy as possible on children, helping them preserve their dignity. Our employees assembled over 100 backpacks for Project Hope, and these backpacks contained essential hygiene and comfort items. They will serve as a sign of hope to boost children’s spirits and resilience in the face of adversity.
Project Linus
In a labor of love, teams assembled 90 fleece tie blankets that were donated to Project Linus. Project Linus is a national organization with more than 300 chapters in cities across the United States and beyond. Their mission is to provide love, security, warmth and comfort in the form of handmade blankets for children who are seriously ill or traumatized.
