Curious, observant and nimble are qualities you might expect in a cat, yet they also perfectly describe CQuence’s Director of People and Culture, Kayla Engel, which is fitting given her well-known love of cats.
For 20 years, Kayla has enriched the culture of CQuence and Cassling with her uncanny ability to spot challenges before they arise, then take things a step further to find and implement solutions. But her real superpower: how she makes people feel. Kayla’s support for our teams extends beyond the company walls into the families of our employees, as noted by Bruce Stec, Vice President of People and Culture:
"Kayla is one of the most committed team members we have in this company,” said Bruce. “Not only do those of us who work with her know this, but chances are your family and significant others do as well. Her quick wit and extensive experience add value to any meeting. Kayla and I joke that weird things in our lives seem to happen in pairs, and that’s because we’ve often had to lean on each other during difficult times. I couldn’t be luckier to have Kayla on my team."
