Honoree Recognized for Achievements in Building Award-Winning Company Culture

Omaha, Neb. (Aug. 28, 2015) – Bruce Stec, vice president of human resource for CQuence Health Group, has been named the HR Professional of the Year by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM)-Nebraska State Council. The award was presented during the SHRM Nebraska State Conference awards luncheon held Friday, Aug. 28 in Omaha.

Stec was selected by state council board members for his outstanding contributions to the human resources profession, to his employer and to the community. CQuence is a growing portfolio of health-care companies focused on streamlining health care, and has twice been recognized nationally as one of the Best Places to Work in Healthcare by Modern Healthcare.

Stec, who joined CQuence in 2013, has 20-plus years of progressive experience in human resources. A graduate of the University of Nebraska at Kearney, he is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and has held numerous leadership roles within the Human Resources Association of the Midlands (HRAM) and SHRM. Currently, Stec serves on the board of directors for CASA of Douglas County. He is a past executive board member of Together, Inc.
