Shane Cerone, CEO
Shane has worked as Chief Operating Officer, President and CEO for some of the top hospitals in the country, including the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak. Using his proven operating model, Shane helps hospital and health system leaders significantly improve performance on a rapid timeline and sustain operating and financial success over the long-term.

- As President of Beaumont, Royal Oak, Shane led one of the nation’s largest teaching hospitals and referral centers. Under his leadership, Beaumont was consistently ranked as a national leader in care quality and safety by the University HealthSystem Consortium (now Vizient), in the top 1% for clinical reputation by US News and World Report and as a top 1% performer in affordability by the RAND Corporation.
- Led the financial turnaround of a community health system, transforming a 20% operating loss into positive cash flow margin within 6 months.
- Led an operations improvement transformation for an East Coast Academic Medical Center resulting in a 10% increase in top line revenue by rapidly enhancing patient throughput in a busy quaternary care center.
- Led a community health system through the COVID-19 pandemic. The system was the first to achieve full staff vaccination and opened the largest single vaccination site in the state. Operations were maintained throughout the pandemic and virtually no agency staff were utilized.
