CQ will cover the registration fees of all its employees and their families who participate in World Vision’s Global 6K for Water on May 19. For each participant who registers for the race, a child in need will receive clean water.

Omaha, Neb. – The World Vision Global 6K for Water is happening in Omaha on May 19, and CQuence Health Group is encouraging as many employees as possible to take part in the event happening at Walnut Creek Recreation Area and elsewhere.

The Omaha-based healthcare company will pay the registration fees for all employees and immediate family members of the three companies that fall under its umbrella: CQuence Health Group, Cassling and Ensocare. Team members outside of Omaha are able to participate by attending one of the numerous World Vision 6K events throughout the country or simply by going for a run or walk wherever they can on that day.

This commitment to clean water was made possible thanks to the charitable work of Duane and Rebecca Losh. Duane is a long-time Cassling Field Service Engineer, and he and his wife have been decades-long, active participants in World Vision’s efforts to bring clean water to the developing world.

“I’m just blown away that CQuence is involved this year and willing to cover the registration fees,” said Rebecca. “The significance of ‘6K’ is that’s the typical distance these women and children walk to get water. Every $50 registration brings clean water to one child, and every registrant gets a picture of the actual child that will get clean water through their participation.”

For his part, Mike Cassling, chairman and CEO of CQuence Health Group, cites Rebecca’s and Duane’s passion for this cause as his reason for getting involved in this effort.

“I was truly inspired by the work Duane and Rebecca have done to bring water to those in need,” said Mike. “This is such a worthwhile cause, and I wanted CQuence Health Group to be able to support it in some way.”

“It’s been so great to see so many team members respond enthusiastically to this call to action. The number of sign-ups has exceeded my expectations. There’s even been a friendly competition between Ensocare and Cassling to see which company can get the most registrations!”

So far, 106 people have signed up through the company’s website. Persons interested in participating or donating to World Vision can sign up at tinyurl.com/cqworldchangers.
